In this sermon Pastor Paul Dawson reveals how the grace of God that has been given to us enables us to keep on praying always and everywhere and how it will enable us to keep on meditating the word of god all day long – night and day. Thirdly how you will be in the fear of God always, fourthly how you will be walking and living in the spirit always, and fifthly how you will be rejoicing in the Lord always. And finally, the grace will always enable you to look for the glorious appearance of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ. And how all the above is the new normal for the new creation!
The new normal for the people on whom the light of the Lord has come will experience the following. They will be
Marvellously helped
Supernatural increase amid extreme decrease
Supernatural sustenance
They will walk in miracles
The LORD will cause the evil beasts to cease out of the land and cause to dwell in safety.
This will happen for those people who understand the word of god. At the same time, you must understand how the kingdom of God operates. Because if you do not understand you will be one-sided and one-sided will not see the expected results. How does the kingdom of god operate?
In the book of James 4:8 Draw nigh to God and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double-minded. The above verse indicates that you need to draw near to god for God to draw near to you and not vice versa. Also, we find in Luke 6:38 Give and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal, it shall be measured to you again. The first step is always done by the individual except for salvation as we read in Ephesians 2:1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; because dead people cannot take the first step but alive people can. God is so good because He has given us His grace which equips us to do what He expects us to do. In this message, you will find the first step that you need to do for God to perform what we had heard in the last week sermon.
Ezekiel 36:26 -27 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. From the above verse, we see that God will give us a new heart because before we were born again we had an old heart and now god especially gives a new heart to special people. And a new spirit – when your spirit mixes with the Spirit of God, it becomes a new spirit.
1Corinthians 6:17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. God puts his Spirit within you and enables you to walk in his statues. You are not supposed to think of yourself as someone great because you obey the statutes of God and walk in his commandments. It is His Spirit within you that causes you to do it and no man can take glory for himself. The word “you shall” in Ezekiel means that you will do it and this will be the new normal for the new creation. And you need to keep on thanking God because He has enabled you to follow Him.
The first thing that will happen: Ephesians 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; you will find that in the new normal these people will always be praying in the spirit. 1Timothy 2:8 I will therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting. The above verse means praying everywhere, and this person is always praying and is praying everywhere. 1Thessalonians 5:17 -Pray without ceasing. You will find that this person is praying without ceasing and praying always, everywhere. You may wonder how this is possible. It is because God has given a new heart and a new spirit within this person which enables him to pray always, everywhere and without ceasing.
The second thing that will happen: Psalm 1:2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. You will find that this person is meditating the word day and night and without ceasing. Psalm 119:97 O how I love thy law! It is my meditation all the day. This person will have a new liking for the word and will meditate day and night without ceasing. He will be hungry for the word. And this person will be lost in the word until the word is found in him because God has put a new spirit within him. Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. And you will that this person will be of renewed mind because he will be always thinking about the word and he will be so transformed that he will begin thinking like God. Philippians 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. You will find that it is God who is working in you to will and to do of his good pleasure.
The third thing that will happen: 1Peter 1:17 And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear: this new creation will spend all of his time here sojourning in fear. Proverbs 23:17- but be thou in the fear of the LORD all the day long. The new creation in the new normal will be in the fear of the Lord not just one minute or one hour but being in the fear of the Lord all the day long.
Can you now understand the new normal? It is all day long praying everywhere and praying without ceasing. It is all day long meditating the word everywhere at all places and it’s all day long being in the fear of the Lord. When you are in the fear of the Lord you will eschew evil. There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil. If you are always in the fear of God everywhere you will not sin. When the woman was trying to tempt Joseph, he was alone in the house and every day the woman was tempting him but there was no impact. Why was that? It was because he feared God. And because he was in the fear of the Lord all day, God lifted him from the prison next to the pharaoh. In the new normal – kings will come to you! Isaiah 60:3 And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.
The fourth thing that will happen to you: Romans 6:4, therefore, we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father; even so, we also should walk in newness of life. In the new normal you will not be walking in the oldness of life or in the old way that you were behaving but in the newness of life. Galatians 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Galatians 5:16 this I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. In the new normal it will be a life of living in the spirit always and walking in the spirit everywhere. And god will enable you to do it.
The fifth thing that will happen to you: Philippians 4:4 rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. In the new normal you will be rejoicing in the Lord always. It’s time to enter into the new normal. 1Thessalonians -5:16 Rejoice evermore. Rejoicing not just one hour or two hours but continually rejoicing is the new normal.
The sixth thing that will happen to you: Titus 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ; you will always be looking for that blessed hope and the glorious appearing of the great God a saviour Jesus Christ. You will not be looking for what others are looking for. Titus 2:11 for the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Titus 2:12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world. In the new normal you will say that the Grace that has been given to me is making me and teaching me to look for that blessed hope and I don’t want that grace to be in vain. And when you do what God expects from you, God will do what he has already planned. And now is the time to get ready for some amazing miracles.
